Hoyt’s piece entitled "RB-13" which is a tribute to the 2013 Formula 1 team of Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel won the “Peter Helck” award Sunday as the best example of art at the 31st Annual AFAS Exhibit.
Hoyt states that he “wanted to express the, speed, pathos, and virility that is Formula 1, in a more ‘artistic’ manner”. Evidently everyone agree as most were caught off guard by this new direction for Dennis Hoyt. “I was constantly besieged with questions and comments all day long”, says Hoyt. “I am further encouraged to enhance and develop this as well as other new ideas for the upcoming exhibits in China and Dubai”, states Hoyt.
